Marvel Reportedly Considering Henry Cavill and Jason Momoa for Spider-Man 3

It might sound ridiculous, but there have been rumors going around saying that DC Extended Universe stars Jason Momoa and Henry Cavill are going to appear in the third Spider-Man movie.

According to a report that's been going around online thanks to Cosmic Book News, word on the street says that Marvel is hoping to bring Henry Cavill and Jason Momoa to play Kraven in Spider-Man 3. It might sound a little bit ridiculous knowing Cavill and Momoa's place in the DC Extended Universe, but the rumor says that Marvel is hoping to bring both actors into the Marvel Cinematic Universe through Spider-Man: Home Run.

Of course, the DCEU stars aren't the only ones being considered for the movie. The rumor also suggests that Marvel is hoping to hire Joe Keery (Steve Harrington, Stranger Things) and Jane Lynch (The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Criminal Minds) for two different roles in the movie.

As interesting as it sounds for Marvel to take keen interest in Cavill and Momoa playing Kraven in Spider-Man 3, we have to advise fans to take the report with a major grain of salt. It seems rather unlikely for Marvel to consider bringing Cavill and Momoa into the MCU knowing how deeply ingrained they are in the DCEU. The studio would most likely go for a lesser known actor than to hire stars that are already associated with heroes from the DCEU.

It's such a shame though knowing that fans want to see Momoa as Kraven the hunter. Nothing we can really do.

Phase 4 of the MCU begins when Black Widow premieres on May 1, 2020.
