Marvel Fans Don’t Want Beyonce to Play Storm

Earlier this week, word came out that Disney is in talks with Pop and RnB legend Beyonce to star in three Marvel movies, including Black Panther 2. As exciting as this might sound, it seems like Marvel fans aren't certain of their response to the news.

There have been rumors going around saying that Beyonce may very well play Storm in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and while the musician certainly has a lot of star power, Marvel fans aren't quite sure that she would be the right fit for the role.

Taking to Twitter, fans are questioning Disney's decision to have Beyonce star in the MCU. Not only do fans doubt the singer's acting skills, but they don't want to see her play Storm, or to appear in the next Black Panther movie.

Beyonce might be an African American woman, but it seems like fans would much rather have a darker-skinned actress take on the role.

It's interesting to see all of the backlash against the idea of having Beyonce play Storm. Even fans of the music legend are advocating against the casting, saying that they've been waiting for a dark skinned Storm for so long.

Let's hope that Marvel listens to the outcry on social media.

Right now, there's very little information about what Marvel has planned for Black Panther2. All we know is that Chadwick Boseman is reprising his role as T'Challa and that the project has yet to begin production.

Black Panther 2 is set to premiere on May 6, 2022.
