Mark Ruffalo might be a controversial figure right now after he somehow shared some major Avengers 4 spoilers on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. Nevertheless, the Thor: Ragnarok star still had time to meet Aquaman actor Jason Momoa at the New York Comic-Con.
Momoa recently shared an interesting NYCC video on his official Instagram account. It shows the DC Extended Universe star getting photographed with a man wearing a mask. After the pictures were taken, Momoa told the man to take off his disguise. It was then revealed that Ruffalo was under the mask. Watch the awesome video below.
The Aquaman star clearly knew who was hiding under the mask. The caption read, "I love this man. Legend @markruffalo Aloha j." Needless to say, this was an unexpected yet absolutely welcome Marvel/DC crossover at NYCC.
Although Momoa did not reveal when the video was taken, it is possible that Ruffalo had visited NYCC sometime after he recorded the now infamous Tonight Show episode where he dropped some major Avengers 4 spoilers. Most of the actor's revelations were bleeped out but some fans still believe he clearly said that the film's title is Annihilation. After all, Ruffalo followed up his reveal by saying that the title is "out there" and Annihilation has been one of the most popular fan theories to date.
People were also shocked when Joe and Anthony Russo responded to Ruffalo's tweet about the Avengers 4 spoilers. The Avengers: Infinity War directors simply wrote, "Mark, you're fired." Nevertheless, it might simply be a joke since the Tonight Show spoilers looked like an act. We're still hoping that Ruffalo will eventually return in more Marvel Cinematic Universe films.
Momoa's Aquaman hits theaters on December 21. The still-untitled Avengers 4 is scheduled for release on May 3, 2019.
