It's been nearly a month since Henry Cavill announced his Superman comeback but fans of the DC Universe are still buzzing about it and understandably so. And it looks like this time around, Warner Bros. Discovery no longer plans to waste the British actor and intends to put the Man of Steel back at the forefront of the "new" DCU.
It was recently revealed that DC Studios is actively developing Man of Steel 2 which will once again see Cavill take flight almost a decade after he helped launch the then-DCEU with director Zack Snyder. Now, one of his co-stars from the first Man of Steel is speaking up following his monumental return while addressing what the future holds for her.
In an interview with Variety, the 48-year-old actress and star of Disney's Disenchanted shared how thrilled she is to learn about Henry Cavill's return as Superman. On the subject of the potential reprisal of her Lois Lane role, Adams revealed that WB Discovery has yet to give her the call but admitted that she'd be fine if the studio decides to recast her to fit the new direction they're headed to.
She explains: "Isn’t that exciting? I mean, I think I heard it from my husband, actually. I’m thrilled for him, he’s such a wonderful Superman, so I’m very excited for him. They haven’t spoken to me about it. If it’s me great, if it’s not… the role of Lois has been filled by so many wonderful actresses in the past, so I’ll support whatever direction they go"

Adams' take on Lois Lane was a far cry from previous iterations of the character, who were pretty much presented as damsels in distress, and in my book, that made her a unique character.
Key details about DC Studios' Man of Steel 2 are still being kept under wraps.
