MAMAMOO's Hwasa will return to the stage soon with brand new music, her agency confirmed.
Hwasa's agency, RBW, revealed that the singer would soon mark her comeback with a solo album. The official press release revealed that the singer had been steadily making the songs ahead of their releases.
However, it did not further disclose when Hwasa's album release date would be. Sports Chosun, per Soompi, reported that the solo comeback would happen within the year.
The upcoming album will serve as the successor of Hwasa's first solo album, Maria, in 2020 after debuting in February 2019 with Twit.

Aside from preparing for a comeback, the Korean singer notably won the Best Female TV Reality Star award during the 48th annual Korea Broadcasting Awards.
MAMAMOO Hwasa's Recent Issue With BLACKPINK Lisa
Before the singer's much-anticipated comeback, Hwasa's fans noticed the similarities between her MAMA 2018 solo stage music and BLACKPINK Lisa's LALISA.
Earlier this month, a TikTok user named Arai Chelsie uploaded a video where she pointed out that the instruments on Lisa's song sound identical to Hwasa's solo stage in the 2018 Mnet Asian Music Awards.

Following the emergence of the now-viral video, K-pop fans accused the BLACKPINK member of plagiarizing the melody and trumpet sounds Hwasa previously used.
After further investigation, they found out that both artists sampled Brazilian musical group Tropkillaz's Melody Loop Crazy Horns 01 130 Eb. A separate user on YouTube previously compared Lisa's LALISA to Hwasa's MV teaser.
Upon discovering the truth behind the alleged similarities, both fandoms offered apologies to each other.
BLACKPINK Plagiarizing Songs?
Although things have been fixed between Hwasa and BLACKPINK Lisa, several Korean citizens brought back the plagiarism rumors the YG Entertainment's girl group faced.
In 2020, fans claimed that Lisa's rap part on How You Like That had the same melody as MAMAMOO's sings Aya and Dingga. It was later disclosed that both Korean groups used KSHMR Middle East GTR Guitar 128 E Arabic samples.
