Brawl, the singleton Standard-legal only Constructed format, is one of the most fun formats available in Magic: The Gathering Arena, and last month, Wizards of the Coast announced that it's making Brawlers' Guildhall free for the next four weeks, but some MTG Arena players like streamer Amazonian pointed out that the Brawlers' Guildhall has a 2,000 gems fee, as shown in the screenshot of the tweet below:
The official MTG Arena Twitter page responded, saying that this was not intentional, confirming that the Brawlers' Guildhall will have no entry fee again this month, so expect that to be fixed.
The original announcement said that that the Brawl playmode that usually costs 10,000 (in-game) gold or 2,000gems, will be free until April 16, but it looks like WotC is extending this fan-favorite format in Arena.
"Because COVID-19 is keeping millions of people around the world indoors, we wanted to do a little something to help make social distancing a little more tolerable," WotC said last month. "To that end, we are making changes to the Magic: The Gathering Arena event schedule beginning on Thursday, March 19 to give you more ways to play Magic from the comfort and safety of your home."
Ikoria: Lair of Behemoths is set to launch on Magic: The Gathering Arena on April 16, for tabletop play in China, Japan, Korea, Taiwan and Hong Kong on April 17, and for tabletop play everywhere else on May 15.
