Macaulay Culkin had a heartwarming reaction to his brother Kieran Culkin's victory at the 97th Oscars last Sunday.

The beloved star won Best Supporting Actor for his performance as Benji Kaplan in A Real Pain. Heading into the ceremony, Culkin was already considered to be a lock to win the category as he swept all major televised and critics awards for the role.

Macaulay Culkin Admittedly Got Emotional Following Kieran's Oscar Win

In a red carpet interview at the Vanity Fair Oscars party, Macaulay Culkin shared his sweet reaction to his brother Kieran's Oscar win.

He admitted that he "cried" when he saw Kieran take home the trophy and it was the only category that he watched in the telecast.

"Just the Best Supporting Actor. That’s the only thing I watched. True story, true story… I cried. [I texted him] and I was like, ‘I’m gonna see you later,’" he said.

When asked if he expected his brother to win the award, Macaulay's partner Brenda Song chimed in and answered, "Of course. Let’s be real. We’re allowed to say that."

Macaulay added, "Yeah, absolutely. He was front row, aisle, closest to the stairs. There was no way he was not going to win."

Kieran Culkin's Acceptance Speech

In his acceptance speech, Kieran Culkin thanked A Real Pain director, co-star, and writer Jesse Eisenberg, the producers, and his team.

He dedicated the remaining time of his speech to his wife Jazz Charton and joked about her promise of getting another child.

"After the show, we’re walking through a parking lot, and she goes, ‘Oh, God, I did say that! I guess I owe you a third kid.’ And I turned to her, and I said, ‘Really, I want four,’" the Oscar winner said.

"She turned to me — I swear to God, this happened there’s just over a year ago — she said, ‘I will give you four when you win an Oscar.’"

Culkin continued, "And I have not brought it up once until just now. I just have this to say to you, Jazz — love of my life, ye of little faith — no pressure. I love you. I’m really sorry I did this again, and let’s get cracking on those kids."
