Lovers of the Red Sky has been creating such an uproar from its first two episodes. The SBS Kdrama is currently at a tight match with the KBS series Police University with its national viewership ratings. Both with interesting storylines, the Kim Yoo Jung-starred series seems to tackle a more historical plot which piqued interest from many viewers.

Lovers of the Red Sky episode 2 sees the story 19 years later from the rain ritual. After being a human sacrifice when he was young, Ha Ram lost his eyesight and other memories from the past. He becomes an astrologist who is well-respected by the people in the palace and in the Seomungwan. Ha Ram also goes secretly by the name of Ilwolseong who is known to be knowledgeable of everything that happens around the palace.
Hong Cheon Gi's father still paints for other people but his talent seems to have gone after being possessed by the Demon when he tried to entrap it for the former King. Hong Cheon Gi becomes a painter who uses her skills to imitate paintings and sell them for money so she can afford a certain medicine for her father.

But, the medicine that Hong Cheon Gi bought was fake. Filled with anger, she tries to get revenge after getting scammed. She asked for help from his co-painters and resulted in jailing the one who manages the store that scammed her and to which she also paints imitations.
However, the culprit gets bailed after a while and Hong Cheon Gi becomes a target. After chasing her for long, they eventually lost track of her as she ends up hiding inside Ha Ram's litter.
While Hong Cheon Gi and Ha Ram spend some time inside the litter, some of the latter's memories get recovered. But it wasn't a good thing as the Demon inside Ha Ram gets awaken.
