Loki (Tom Hiddleston) and Mobius (Owen Wilson) are back at it again as we see them walk through an obscure, cylinder-shaped hallway in their TVA uniforms, the same uniforms they wore in Loki Season 1.

The Loki Season 2 trailer opens with Loki and Mobius walking into ‘a’ TVA office, but it’s not just any office. It may emulate the same colors from the TVA, but it’s definitely not something we’ve seen in the first season.

We are then introduced to the newest member of the Loki series, Everything Everywhere All At Once star Ke Huy Quan, pulling an Isabella Madrigal as his entrance.

On his desk, we see the words: Repairs & Advancement, meaning Ouroboros aka ‘OB’ plays a bigger role than we thought.

Notably, Quan’s character was previously reported to be the ‘main tech guy’ for the TVA, and the trailer pretty much confirms the early speculated reports about his role.

The first line we hear from Quan’s character is, “Mobius! Wow, great to see you again!” Indicating that OB has been working for the TVA far longer than we know.

Considering that the first concern he’s faced with is classified as Loki ‘time slipping’, he’s well aware of the consequences and would most likely have to join the iconic duo on a mission to ‘fix’ Loki.

Although, Loki would have to face another dilemma here when OB added, “It’s impossible to time slip in the TVA.”

As per usual, the trailer of course has to include the Marvel Studios logo with a bit of a twist.

Since Loki is seen ‘time slipping’, his name has been scattered in different forms and letters in the background before the logo appears in its final form with the red background.

Out of the blue, Loki is seen ‘slipping’ out of thin air, as if he has no control over his body movements in the middle of OB trying to catch up with Mobius by his desk.

The fact that OB didn’t flinch at the sight implies they’ve both witnessed this phenomenon before, to which Mobius asked OB on how to fix Loki’s time slipping.

And there’s another catch to this little mishap: OB indicates that time slipping is ‘impossible in the TVA’, which makes Loki a rare case.

In the background, Loki narrates: “I’ve been pulled through time between the past and the present. If what I saw is true, there’s nothing to stand between this world and utter destruction.”

At some point, as Loki uncontrollably keeps slipping through time, he is seen walking towards a clueless Season 1 Loki flipping through the pages of a book.

However, before Season 2 Loki could even come near him, he yet again slips through time, with Season 1 Loki looking back in suspicion as to what almost spooked him in that moment.

Loki Season 2 Trailer Breakdown: Sylvie Is Back in Action

If you may recall, Sylvie (Sophia Di Martino) betrayed Loki in the first season, and considering things were left unfinished between the two Loki variants, Sylvie’s return is a no-brainer for Loki Season 2.

Sylvie seems to be sharing the same experience as she’s transported to a different time period as the background of her room starts to disperse into darkness.

The question is, will Loki and Sylvie end up becoming allies once more in the upcoming season?

Loki stabs a wall filled with ancient drawings of statues, unveiling the long-awaited MCU villain: Victor Timely aka another multiverse version of He Who Remains and Kang the Conqueror.

While Jonathan Majors, who plays Kang in the billion-dollar franchise faced numerous sexual assault charges in the past year, with MCU fans even calling for his removal from the MCU, it’s crystal clear that Majors isn’t going anywhere and will be reprising his one of many Kang counterparts in the series.

Actually, we did see a little sneak peek of Jonathan Majors’ Victor Timely in the Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania post-credits scenes, which lines up perfectly with what we can expect from the newest MCU villain in Loki Season 2.

In the post-credits scenes, Victor was seen speaking on his own act, besides the sign that indicated his full name, Victor Timely as he gave a speech before starting up his act:

“Time is everything. It shapes our lives, but perhaps we can shape it.”

Loki and Mobius manage to time travel, despite Loki being the only one suffering from ‘time slipping.’ The duo end up in a town with a carnival, dressed up for the times to blend in, the same town and suits we saw them wearing back in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania’s post-credits scenes.

Before Mobius gets attacked by another new character, Loki uses his green-colored powers to strike down the intruder.

In the background, Mobius tells Loki what exactly makes them different as they bought themselves some treats on their little detour: “Listen, we have different styles: You’re a man of action, which is fine. I take a more slow, deliberate, cerebral approach.”

In Loki Season 1, Loki did lose his powers as a form of punishment for his crimes and in interrupting some canon events that negatively affected the timeline where he was supposed to be defeated.

Now, it looks like Loki won’t be without his powers upon his return for this series. It’ll be harder to stop the god of mischief at his powerful form.

Wunmi Mosaku’s character, Hunter B-15, returns, seemingly coming from a different timeline this time, instead of the one we met working for the TVA.

As one of the many people that ended up working for the TVA, this B-15 we see here is either a different version of herself on another timeline or the same TVA worker who’s pulling a disguise to help Loki and Mobius.

Ravonna (Gugu Mbatha-Raw) and Casey (Eugene Cordero) are also seen returning for the series, who also appear to be jumping across different timelines.

“No matter what we do – we’re playing god.” Sylvie told Loki, in which Loki replies, “We are gods.”

Loki added, “It’s up to us to save this place,” implying that Loki and Sylvie seemingly do end up working together.

Although Sylvie couldn’t be seen clearly apart from the shadow beside Loki, whose horns grew too (the same horns we saw from Loki’s helmet), the point is the two Loki’s play their roles against their common enemy, who they end up cornering in an alleyway.

It looks like OB does have a bigger role in Season 2 than we originally anticipated. While Mobius gets into a spacesuit in an attempt to save the TVA on his own, he gets sent in the spacesuit with a cracked helmet, one that OB simply ‘taped’ to reassure Mobius he wouldn’t be in danger in spite of it.

The stakes have been raised this second season as Loki is seen asking, “But how do you choose, who lives and who dies?”

Judging from the background, it would seem he was talking to someone who held him hostage (again), in what looks like a carnival tent, meaning it is likely he’s speaking with Victor Timely, as if to beg for answers and in how to save the universe.

As if on cue, Victor Timely answers Loki with a rather inauspicious solution, “Make the hard choice.”

Miss Minutes (Tara Strong) who pretty much served as Loki’s TVA guide back in Season 1, has now grown in gigantic size, running towards the people as she said, “You better run!” terrorizing the people from when she came out of the carnival as a threat.

Is Miss Minutes going to be a threat or a distraction this season?

This wouldn’t be the first time that the TVA almost gets destroyed or infiltrated.

This time, though, as Loki indicated, “War is on its way” against the TVA.

Not to mention, Loki is seen fending off against TVA officers yet again as he uses his powers against the shielders, while he is running off with Sylvie.
