Lindsay Lohan will not be joining the cast of the recently announced international version of the hit television show “Real Housewives.” The new show, titled “Real Housewives of Dubai,” will be following the lives of women navigating their careers, relationships, and lavish lifestyles in the United Arab Emirates.

TMZ, citing sources with direct knowledge in the matter, claims that Lohan was apparently never approached by producers of the show even though she is already living in the country. Her joining the show would have instantly added star power to each episode and not tapping the actress was a missed opportunity.
Bravo initially announced the upcoming launch of the international version of the hit reality television franchise on Monday. The network said it will be taking the franchise to Dubai – its first-ever season to be set outside the United States.
The announcement immediately sparked speculations that the network would tap Lohan as one of the cast members because she is already living in the city. Sources said the cast for the show has already been selected and Lohan isn’t on the list.
TMZ speculated that Lohan was likely not tapped for the project given that she will likely demand a bigger payday than the other “unknown” cast members. Bravo likely wanted to keep the budget low for the first season.

Bravo Is Going International
Bravo is expected to air “Real Housewives of Dubai” sometime next year. The network said the new season will mostly highlight the incredibly lavish and ultra-wealthy lifestyles of the women living in the city.
Dubai is well-known around the world as a billionaire’s playground where the ultra-rich frolic and party in the city’s crazy nightlife scene. Lohan would have definitely fit into the high-flying Dubai crowd.
Even without an a-list celebrity as part of its cast, Bravo is still confident that the show will attract viewers that are curious to know about the over-the-top opulence and lifestyles of the women living in the “desert paradise.”
Producer Andy Cohen described Dubai as a place where everything is much “bigger” and “more exciting.” On Monday, Bravo released a teaser for the upcoming episodes of “Real Housewives of Dubai,” giving audiences a glimpse of the opulence, drama, and wealth they have in store.

Another Rumored Cast Member
While the network has yet to reveal the names of the cast members for “Real Housewives of Dubai,” rumors have been circulating that Ladies of London alum Juliet Angus’s long-time friend and co-star Caroline Stanbury could be part of the project. Both Angus and Millionaire Matchmaker’s Patti Stanger fueled rumors by posting congratulatory messages on Bravo’s Instagram announcement.
