Netflix and Tomorrow Studios are teaming up with the LEGO Group to bring fans’ pirate-themed dreams to life with a new LEGO building set!
It hasn’t been long since the creators of the acclaimed One Piece live-action adaptation announced that production on Season 2 has been completed.
Now, fans have the chance to build parts of East Blue and relive memorable moments from the series with LEGO Straw Hat Pirates, thanks to this partnership.
The official announcement was posted on the social media account for Netflix’s One Piece live-action series. A teaser video included in the post features a sneak peek at the LEGO collection, revealing none other than Luffy’s iconic straw hat.
Senior Vice President of the LEGO Group, Lena Dixen, shared with Netflix: “This is a truly special collaboration. For the first time, LEGO play and the exciting world of anime meet.”
She also mentioned that the project has been a challenge, and she couldn’t be more thrilled for fans to experience this exciting collaboration between the LEGO Group and One Piece for the first time.
Eiichiro Oda, who even included a LEGO reference in the manga’s latest arc, also had a message for fans eagerly awaiting the crossover. Posted on X, his message translates to:
“LEGO sets are coming! Even now, I have dozens of LEGO boxes piled up at my workplace that I haven’t even had time to dig into. There’s no cooler toy out there! For 25 years since the anime started, I’ve been asking for a LEGO toy, and finally, my dream is coming true with a live-action collection! Thank you to the LEGO Group!”
