DC Studios may have already found the DCU's John Stewart for the highly-anticipated Green Lantern Corps series Lanterns.
For the last few weeks, we've been hearing reports regarding the ongoing casting process of Lanterns as we learned that Josh Brolin was offered to play Hal Jordan but decided to pass on the role.
Fans have also been looking forward to hearing which actor DC Studios might cast or offer to play the role of John Stewart, the other Green Lantern Corps member who will be leading the series.
Kelvin Harrison Jr. Reportedly Eyed to Play John Stewart in Lanterns
According to a recent scoop from insider Daniel Richtman, Chevalier and Mufasa: The Lion King star Kelvin Harrison Jr. is currently being considered for the role of John Stewart in Lanterns.
So far, DC Studios has not confirmed the claims made in the report so take this with a grain of salt for now.
Harrison has become one of the rising actors in the last few years thanks to his scene-stealing and acclaimed roles in several films such as Waves and Luce which are both considered to be his breakthrough projects.
He has proven that he has the chops of playing a powerful hero like John Stewart and it would be interesting to see whether he'll end up getting officially cast in the role.
It might take a little while before we hear who DC Studios might cast to play Hal Jordan and John Stewart in the series since they still have to consider the chemistry of the actors who will play them.
For now, fans should look out for news and updates regarding the casting of the series as we will likely hear some confirmation in the coming months once they have finally found the actors.
