Lady Gaga poked fun at the box office disappointment and Razzie wins for Joker: Folie à Deux during her monologue in Saturday Night Live.

The award-winning artist hosted and performed as a musical guest in the recent episode of the hit variety series to promote her new album Mayhem.

Lady Gaga Jokes About Joker 2 in Her SNL Monologue

During her opening monologue in the recent episode of Saturday Night Live, Gaga addressed her Razzie win for Joker: Folie à Deux and the polarizing reception that the film has received.

"Apparently, people thought it was awesome, and Joaquin and I even got nominated for a Razzie, which is an award for the worst films of the year. So we won for Worst On-Screen Duo," the Grammy and Oscar winner said.

"But joke's on them, I love winning things, and my Razzie brings me one step closer to an EGORT. It's like an EGOT, but it's hurtful."

She concluded her monologue, "So tonight I promise to act, to sing, and to not do Joker 3."

Aside from the sequel, Gaga also poked fun at her collaboration with the now-disgraced music artist R. Kelly during the last time she hosted the series.

"I’m so happy to be back at SNL. The last time I hosted was in 2013 and every aspect of my performance aged amazingly. So there’s no need to Google SNL 2013, Lady Gaga featuring R. Kelly. I won’t bring it up because that would be bad," she joked.

Lady Gaga's Mayhem

Gaga's Saturday Night Live hosting duty was part of her promotional campaign for her new album "Mayhem."

During the episode, she performed the songs "Abracadabra" and "Killah" which received enthusiastic responses from both critics and fans of the artist.

The album dropped on streaming music platforms last Friday, March 7, with high anticipation from the Little Monsters and music critics since it's been five years since she last released a studio album.

Despite the polarizing reception of Joker: Folie à Deux, it did not affect Gaga's stardom and career as she remains to be one of the most celebrated artists today. So far, she has not set her next movie project but she is expected to make her next acting appearance in Wednesday season 2.
