A classic Spider-Man villain just showcased its comic-accurate look in the latest trailer for Sony's Kraven the Hunter. While the upcoming iteration of Rhino is closer to how the Marvel villain looked in the comics, fans can't help but compare it to its equally divisive The Amazing Spider-Man 2 counterpart from 2014.

Kraven the Hunter's Comic-Accurate Rhino Came Decades Too Late

As Marvel fans delve into the live-action depiction of Kraven the Hunter (played by Aaron Taylor-Johnson), the new recent trailer also shows an updated version of Sony's Rhino aka Aleksei Sytsevich (played by Alessandro Nivola) in the flesh.

It is worth mentioning that the version of Rhino we see in Kraven the Hunter is a closer comic book depiction than what fans witnessed in Andrew Garfield's The Amazing Spider-Man 2.

And yet somehow, comparisons had been made, dividing fans' expectations on how Kraven the Hunter could live up to its name.

Considering that Sony broke fans' trust after the results of Morbius and Madame Web, it's quite difficult to see how Kraven the Hunter could be any different from its CGI and VFX, along with its storytelling that could build the Sony Spider-Verse.

Quite frankly, as one fan pointed out, the less comic-accurate version of Rhino in The Amazin Spider-Man 2 had a more promising appearance, CGI-wise, as opposed to the newest iteration of the upcoming Titan villain.

Some fans suggest that Kraven the Hunter should take a couple more time to reshoot some scenes, given the disappointing reactions to the new trailer.

Kraven the Hunter will be introducing the world's greatest hunter before he (may) eventually meets his arch-nemesis, Spider-Man (whichever version this may be).

So, the origins story of Sergei Nikolaevich Kravinoff must be written right on the big screens before the Sony Spider-Verse continuation comes to a stop for its discouraging development.
