I seriously hope that Ryo reveals some super tragic backstory to make him even vaguely redeemable at some point in the future, otherwise this series is going to be way too creepy to even be funny in the very near future.
In Koikimo: It's Disgusting to Call This Love, the first character we meet is a complete womanizing scumball (at least, that's how his sister, Rio, lovingly refers to him as) named Ryo. One morning, he skips breakfast when he's already not feeling well and almost falls down the stairs at the train station. Luckily for him, he is saved by a passing high school girl who also gives him her lunch.
Thinking that he'll never see her again, he thinks nothing more about her until he gets home that night and learns that the girl who saved him is actually friends with his little sister. Named Arima Ichika, Ryo offers his body to her as a reward for saving him, but when she turns him down, he gets on one knee and asks her out on the spot. This begins one of the creepiest courtship rituals ever seen in anime.

I'm honestly not 100% sure how I'm supposed to feel about Koikimo so far. While on one hand, it is funny at times; the reality is that Ryo comes across as dangerously creepy and stalkerish. He gets Ichika's address from her friend and sends her gifts on a daily basis. He won't take "no" for an answer, despite being told clearly and repeatedly that she's not interested. It's super uncomfortable to watch at this point, and I'm really wondering how this series is going to turn Ryo into a redeemable character.
