Kim Hye Yoon opened up about her struggles while acting due to her low self-esteem.
Unlike other South Korean actresses, Kim Hye Yoon waited for years before finally landing her first leading role. She debuted in 2013, but she first scored a leading role in 2019 in MBC’s Extraordinary You.
Despite that, she already got eight nominations so far and won seven of which. As of the writing, she already has several accolades under her belt, including awards from Asia Artists Awards, Asia Model Awards, Baeksang Arts Awards, and Korean Culture Entertainment Awards, among others.
Recently, she spoke candidly about how acting still feels like a struggle to her due to her low self-esteem.

Kim Hye Yoon Has One Goal As an Actress
Kim Hye Yoon recently had a pictorial and interview with @star1 magazine where she shared her thoughts about her acting. Although her recent projects became hit, the actress spoke humbly about them and reflected on her skills.
According to Kim Hye Yoon, she still has low self-esteem that affects her acting gigs. But she reportedly sees her as a challenge to push herself even more.
“I still have a long way to go. I think my sense of responsibility has also become stronger. I always stay alert so that I don’t lose my initial mindset. I’ll work even harder in the future so that I don’t disappoint people,” she said.

She added that she feels unsatisfied with her acting sometimes since she tends to be a perfectionist type. Throughout her years of experience, she reportedly never became happy with her skills.
She recently led the series Secret Royal Inspector & Joy and worked with 2PM member Taecyeon. Her acting in the flick garnered people’s approval that outshined the negative thoughts she has about herself.
Kim Hye Yoon Moves Forward in Snowdrop
Kim Hye Yoon, fortunately, found a driving force soon after working with BLACKPINK’s Jisoo in Snowdrop. The 25-year-old South Korean star said they grew closer together after spending time on set.
Per the actress, she stuck to the K-pop idol the most due to Jisoo’s bright personality.
“She was so friendly, so I was able to breathe comfortably around her,” she said. “I think we got pretty close while acting together.”
Now that she keeps on getting more projects, fans hope Kim Hye Yoon to feel the contentment soon.
