Kim Hee Sun shared her thoughts about the recently-ended drama, Tomorrow and the changes she went through to play her character.
Tomorrow is a 2022 MBC fantasy K-drama based on the webtoon of the same name. It explores the life of Rowoon’s Choi Joon Woong, a mortal who struggles to find a job but eventually meets grim reapers Goo Ryun (Kim Hee Sun) and Lim Ryoong Goo (Yoon Ji On).
They work together to save the lives of suicidal people, and Choi Joon Woong joins the duo as the youngest member.
Among the cast members, Kim Hee Sun showed the most transformation – physically – and the actress recently talked about it in a new interview.

Kim Hee Sun had an interview after the finale of the series and talked about the changes she went through to perfectly do Goo Ryun’s role.

Despite that, she noted that her hard work ultimately paid off.
“I tried to be faithful in expressing Goo Ryun, and fortunately, people around me said that pink hair and red eye shadow look good on me, so I am grateful,” she said.
Kim Hee Sun then pledged to work harder just like what she did in Tomorrow, saying that she would do anything so she would not have any regret in the next 30 years.
Kim Hee Sun Comments on Tomorrow + What She Thinks About Co-Stars
Tomorrow’s ratings came out lower than expected, but the drama successfully tackled social problems and sensitive topics – school violence, eating disorders, and sexual harassment. Thus, it was still a meaningful series.
With that, Kim Hee Sun said she was right to pick the drama as her project.
“Among the reasons for choosing this project, I can’t say I overlooked the possibility that it’ll become a hit, but it was more meaningful, and I’m content because I think the part [about the drama becoming a success] was partially satisfied,” she continued.
As for her teamwork with her co-stars Lee Soo Hyuk, Rowoon, and Yoo Ji On, she said that working with them and the crew was fun.
Despite the low ratings, Kim Hee Sun expressed her desire to work with them again on another project.
