Kevin Feige On Marvel’s Plans After Avengers: Endgame

Marvel's always been protective of its upcoming films, and this year, the studio's been keeping a tight lid on its 2019 offerings. With Avengers: Endgame on the way, the studio's offered very little information on its plans after Phase 3 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

However, it seems like Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige has a few new updates, promising fans that Marvel has a lot of surprises in store for everyone in Phase 4 of the franchise. Speaking in an interview with Variety on the news outlet's podcast, Playback, Feige decided to tease what the future of the MCU could look like after Endgame premieres next year.

According to Feige, Marvel is going to bring brand new characters for new stories and new iterations of the heroes that everyone's already fallen in love with.

"[We'll continue] to bring characters to the screen that you haven't seen before," the Marvel Studios President said. "While at the same time seeing new stories and new ways of the heroes you already know."

New characters aren't entirely a surprise, but with the Disney and 21st Century Fox merger on its way, fans can only expect Feige to be referring to the arrival of the X-Men, Fantastic Four, and all the other mutant characters owned by Fox. What's even more exciting is that the deal is expected to come to a close next month.

We don't know exactly how Marvel's going to integrate all of Fox's mutant characters into the MCU, but we can't wait to see how it happens.

Avengers: Endgame premieres April 26, 2019.
