Kanye has revealed that he allegedly engaged in incestuous acts with his male cousin in the past, which he references in his new song, “Cousin.”
The rapper, 47, shared the story of this disturbing childhood experience on X, where he usually posts project teasers or promotional content that stirs up fans.
Kanye West Claims to Have Engaged in Incestuous Acts with His Cousin
Kanye West has allegedly admitted to having experimented with his cousin, which resulted in a incestous, sexual relationship.
This traumatic experience from his and his cousin’s childhood was shared on X on April 21, where Ye captioned the post:
"This song is called COUSIN about my cousin that’s locked in jail for life for killing a pregnant lady a few years after I told him we wouldn't 'look at dirty magazines together' anymore."
He continued, "Perhaps in my self-centered mess, I felt it was my fault that I showed him those dirty magazines when he was 6, and then we acted out what we saw."
The Runaway artist also mentioned the “Playboy magazines” his father owned. However, he said his mother had even more graphic material, suggesting that their parents’ pornographic belongings might have influenced their taboo actions.
He ended the tweet with a disturbing confession: "My name is Ye and I sucked my cousin’s d**k till I was 14."
From his new album Cuck, the song “Cousin” reveals more about their disturbing relationship. The lyrics describe how he tried to deal with guilt and trauma:
“Nitrous don’t help me. It just puts me in a trance. I’m talking about euphoria, I’m not talking about a man.”
West’s post on X also features a music video for the song, which has a homemade feel due to its low resolution and shaky camera work, though parts of it are animated. It currently has 10.3 million views and 17,000 retweets.
Kanye West Using “Shock as a Marketing Campaign”
Kanye West has been making several headlines as of late, and most of them have been putting his reputation in a bad light.
The latest in his long list of controversies involves an alleged incestuous relationship with his cousin when they were both minors. Fans responded by expressing disgust or attempting to psychologically analyze the music producer’s behavior.
One X user said, “You need to understand how Kanye works, and his marketing genius. I'm not discounting the trauma of this, but he uses shock to drive his marketing campaigns.”
West has also used his platform to openly support the KKK, express admiration for Hitler, and sell merchandise featuring the antisemitic organization.
In addition, one of his most questionable moves is advocating for music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs, who is currently incarcerated and facing federal charges.
Whether the controversial story from his childhood is true or not, West clearly knows how to provoke public reaction and reveal glimpses of how his mind operates.
