Kanye West walked out of an interview with Piers Morgan after an intense four-minute exchange.
The Grammy-winning rapper has become one of the controversial figures recently due to his polarizing political views, social media posts, and the speculations on his relationship with Bianca Censori.
Kanye West Walks Out of Piers Morgan Interview
West and social media star Sneako were recently interviewed by Morgan on his YouTube channel "Piers Morgan Uncensored."
The conversation began by Morgan asked West how he is. The rapper replied, "I mean... you see that view. Judge it on the view."
Morgan went on to comment about the view in West's background. "The view is Majorca, I’ve been there. It’s a beautiful place. For all intents and purposes, you seem very relaxed and happy," he said. That is in direct contrast to your public image at the moment, over the last couple of years, led by your ferocious..."
West quickly interrupted Morgan as he was about to get asked the first proper question.
"I already disagree. It’s not in contrast. There’s so many people and artists that are championing the idea of someone being able to just express who they really are, and have been able to go through the war of being attacked by the banks, being attacked, you know, by the banks. That’s the best way to put it," he said.
"Being attacked by the banks, and to still be here with this view is, you know, that’s the win. So I think that’s... I’m in contrast to your contrast."
Morgan asked West about his 32 million followers on X. But, the rapper interrupted him again, "Now, look, right now you’re not going to take inches off my dick, bro. Like, how many followers do I have?"
After Morgan clarified that West has 33 million followers, West continued to rant and accused him of "not taking accountability or responsibility."
The rapper eventually removed his mic and walked away. "That’s it for Ye," he said to Sneako.
Morgan was in disbelief at the moment. "Where's he gone, Sneako?" he asked.
Sneako replied, "I think he's going back to work. There's several things he's working on. I was not aware that he was gonna leave like this."
Piers Morgan Reacts to Kanye West's Walkout
In his post on X, Morgan reacted to West's walkout in the interview and explained his side of the story.
"He was costing us time and money. And my patience was almost running out," he said.
"I did talk to him for about three minutes. When I asked him how he was, he pointed to the backdrop behind him. Actually a pleasant backdrop, this time of Mallorca, which implied he was in a great place. I said, ‘You seem happy and content. Which is a direct contrast to what is going on with you on social media.‘"
So far, it is unknown whether Morgan has managed to schedule another interview with West soon.
