Big things are happening for Zack Snyder's Justice League. The new posters for the DC Extended Universe flick have just announced its release date. In addition to that, the updated synopsis for the Snyder Cut teases the arrival of another comic book supervillain.
HBO Max has revealed the official synopsis for the Snyder Cut, which confirms that the film's final title will be Zack Snyder's Justice League. Additionally, it confirms that Steppenwolf and Darkseid will not be the only major DC villains in the director's cut.
It's not exactly a huge surprise that DeSaad will appear in the Snyder Cut. After all, Darkseid's master torturer has always been loyal to the villain and would undoubtedly jump at any chance to inflict pain. In addition to that, Snyder himself has already teased on DeSaad's DCEU debut.
DeSaad was created by Jack Kirby and introduced in First People #2 (May 1971). The character has previously appeared in Smallville where he was played by Steve Byers. Doctor Who voice actor Peter Guinness will take on the role of DeSaad in the Snyder Cut.
Zack Snyder's Justice League will premiere on HBO Max on March 18.
