This hit anime series on Netflix premiered with season 1 on May 24. While many animated shows take years before getting a new season, this one is an exception, as fans won’t have to wait too long before it returns.

Jurassic World: Chaos Theory is the latest animated series in the long-running dinosaur franchise, and while it’s an entertaining watch for everyone, it’s actually a sequel series.
To be exact, this animated show is a follow-up to Camp Cretaceous, which premiered on Netflix in September 2020.
Even though it ran for only two years, the series told a complete story in five seasons. While it had a satisfying conclusion, its story was continued with the Chaos Theory animated show, which takes place six years later.
Chaos Theory was announced on Geeked Week back in November 2023, and it was subsequently released on May 24. Following its release, the show got positive reviews from critics.
Given its great reception, it’s no surprise that a second season was announced, and it is set to be released in late 2024.
While there’s no specific release date yet, chances are that the show’s new season will be released in November or December 2024. After all, a six-month gap is likely needed to animate the entire season.

As with most Netflix original shows, all 10 episodes of Jurassic World: Chaos Theory’s first season were released on May 24. The only exceptions to this are anime shows which also air on TV in Japan such as Delicious in Dungeon.
Based on this, the second season will likely have a similar release schedule, though the only question is how many episodes it will have.
Chances are that it will have 10 episodes again, but if it’s shorter, it’s going to have at least eight episodes. After all, the previous Camp Cretaceous show had a range of eight to 12 episodes per season.
What to Expect in Jurassic World: Chaos Theory S2
It may not have ended on a cliffhanger, but the first season still left many viewers excited to know what happens next.
Based on what happened, the second season will likely see the Nublar Six finally meeting and potentially stopping the Broker. As revealed in the first season, the Broker is behind many of the major events in the series.
With this being the show’s trajectory, viewers should also expect more dinosaur action.
