The narration goes into more detail about Hakari's domain and cursed technique. Kashimo is getting the hang of the rules behind Hakari's domain, so he knows when Hakari's unkillable or not.

The two continue their hand-to-hand combat, and Hakari's scenarios continue. Eventually, the four minutes and eleven seconds where Hakari is invincible begin again.

While Kashimo is thinking of what to do, he notes that only a loser would settle with simply trying to get through the four minutes and eleven seconds. He decides to power up his cursed energy even more, with the determination to kill Hakari.

Suddenly, there is a flashback of Kashimo in his old age, talking to Kenjaku. Kashimo doesn't feel fulfilled and thinks he should have fought Kenjaku.

Kenjaku says he's not fit to fight and shares information regarding the greatest cursed energy output in Michinoku. Kashimo states it's too far and asks Kenjaku who he considers the strongest sorcerer.

Kenjaku responds with Sukuna, but at the time of their conversation, 600 years have already passed. Kashimo decides to entertain Kenjaku's deal so he can fight Sukuna.
