Yuta has defeated Ishigori, but the latter is still alive. Ishigori tells Yuta that he's too soft since he spared his life.

Yuta says Uro said something similar about how one doesn't earn anything from sparing an opponent's life. They have a brief conversation about Uro, and then Yuta asks for Ishigori's points shortly after. After getting Uro and Ishigori's points, Yuta now has 190 points.

Meanwhile, at the Shueisha office, someone is showing their manga to an editor. The editor mentions a lot of comments regarding the man's work, most of which are on the negative side. After saying that the art is lacking, the man breaks one of the editor's fingers.

The narration introduces a new Culling Game player: Charles Bernard, a French manga creator born and raised in Japan. Charles wonders then — what exactly is a manga creator?

The scene switches and Charles asks Hakari if he knows; Hakari says he doesn't. The two are inside a ferris wheel together, but Hakari isn't pleased to be on the ferris wheel with a guy.

Hakari says he's looking out in case he needs to bring a girl to the area, while Charles is there to witness the end of everything. Charles says that manga creators and editors have given up since cursed spirits appeared all over Tokyo.

Charles asks Hakari to give him a reason to fight, likely for inspiration for his manga. He tells Hakari to feel so much hate for Hakari to the point that he wants to kill him.

Hakari asks Charles if he's a manga creator, which the latter confirms. Hakari says he refuses to read Charles' manga, even if he begged for it. He tells him to stop whining and fight him.
