The main Jujutsu Kaisen manga was first published in Weekly Shonen Jump in March 2018 where it quickly attracted readers with its interesting storyline. The manga follows Yuji Itadori, a high school student who accidentally becomes the host of a powerful Curse named Ryomen Sukuna. In an effort to get rid of the Curse, Itadori agrees to join a secret organization of Jujutsu Sorcerers.

Although the main manga debuted in 2018, Gege Akutami had previously published a prequel series Tokyo Metropolitan Curse Technical School, which would later be retitled Jujutsu Kaisen 0. The prequel has since been adapted into a film that was released in Japan last December. Since then, the movie has been released internationally and is currently the fourth highest-grossing anime film in US history.

A lot has happened since Jujutsu Kaisen was first published in Weekly Shonen Jump. The anime series premiered in October 2020 and the second season is expected to be released in Winter 2023.

Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 181 will be published in Weekly Shonen Jump Issue #20 which is expected to be released on Sunday, April 17, 2022. The manga will also be featured on the cover of the issue.
