We already know most of the characters who will appear in Captain Marvel, but Jude Law's role in the film is still a great mystery. Although fans believe the Sherlock Holmes star will play Mar-Vell in the movie, there are also speculations that he might portray the villainous Yon-Rogg. Luckily, Law himself has offered some interesting new details about his character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe flick.
Law recently spoke to Collider about Captain Marvel. At one point, he was asked to explain his character's relationship to Brie Larson's Carol Danvers. Law declined to share too much "because of the order in which the story is told." However, he did confirm that the character is very important in Carol's story.
Based on Law's words, the character could definitely be Mar-Vell since the Kree hero actually serves as Carol's mentor at some point in the comic books. However, it's still possible that Law could be playing a Skrull impersonating Mar-Vell. For now, the details are still unclear so we will need to wait until the premiere on Captain Marvel to find out for sure.
Captain Marvel will hit theaters on March 8.
