According to a report from the Associated Press, the 34-year-old star has been ordered to complete a yearlong counseling program on Monday, April 8th but avoided prison time.

The outlet reports that Judge Michael Gaffey sentenced the actor to "conditional discharge", noting that both sides in the case agreed the charges did not warrant jail time.

Gaffey also noted that Majors was a first-time offender with no prior criminal record. Moreover, AP reports that Majors must complete a "52-week, in-person batterer’s intervention program" in Los Angeles.

The judge also ruled that the actor must resume his mental health therapy. Majors could face a year in jail should he violate the terms, which also include a no-contact order with his ex-girlfriend.

As it stands, we still don't know what this new development could mean for his acting career. But it's worth mentioning that Disney fired Majors back in December on the same day a jury found him guilty of two domestic violence charges.

Before that, Majors was also reportedly dropped by his management and PR firm following the controversy.

Rumor has it that Marvel Studios still intends to use the Kang character although he might take the backseat as the Multiverse Saga's big bad. We'll be sure to keep you posted regarding new developments in this story.
