Is Jonathan Bailey's horse in Wicked the same horse Anthony Bridgerton owns in Bridgerton? Apparently, he couldn't be apart from his horse Jack for long and this is how he somewhat brought the two franchises together.
Is Jonathan Bailey's Horse in Wicked the Same Horse He Has in Bridgerton?
Jonathan Bailey, who plays Fiyero Tigelaar in the Wizard of Oz prequel, managed to balance the two franchises he stars in and that is through his beloved on-set horse, Jack.
Considering that his role in Wicked also means horseback riding, he opened up to Seth Meyers on the Late Night show that he wanted to work closely with his horse in Bridgerton on the set of the upcoming musical, as well.
"Fiyero has a horse, has a steed, and I knew there was only one man for the job," Bailey said, adding how their companionship had grown over their years of working together, "It was a companionship like no other. He's a sentient being. Very present and calm when you need him to be."
As much as Anthony Bridgerton cared about his steed, Bailey expresses the same attachment to Jack the horse as he admitted that he personally requested to play his role with the same horse from the Netflix series through Wicked director Jon M. Chu.
What to Expect From Jonathan Bailey's Role as Wicked's Fiyero
Well, apart from the horseback riding bit, Fiyero is the handsome prince and classmate of Glinda (played by Ariana Grande) and Elphaba (Cynthia Erivo).
As Bailey himself said, who would be best fit for the job other than his most loyal company from Bridgerton?
Wicked is based on the original Broadway hit of the same name, telling the story of how the world of Wizard of Oz came to be prior to the main fantasy movie; before Glinda became the Good Witch of the West and Elphaba the Wicked Witch of the West.
