Joker: Folie à Deux takes a different turn once the reality sinks in that the sequel we waited years for not only bombed at the box office, but even received a lower cinematic score compared to Sony's equally divisive Madame Web.

Joker: Folie à Deux served as a direct sequel to Arthur Fleck's 2019 DC flick. Apart from exploring how his mental illness plays out in Arkham Asylum, the "music in him" also stirs with a newfound match, Lady Gaga's "Lee" Quinn.

However, plenty of firsthand reactions from DC fans remain confused and frustrated with the movie's ending. Frankly, the story altogether didn't seem to resemble anything that of the traditional DCU flick.

Now, upon the first box office weekend results, Joker 2 earns the worst CinemaScore in the history of comic book films.

The sequel ended up receiving a 'D', which is far lower than what Sony's Madame Web received in February, a C+.

MCU and DC fans came together and realized just how much Folie à Deux sank its own ship in the hopes of gaining more traction as a legendary film than its initial in 2019.

To think that Madame Web's questionable storyline and special effects scored higher than Joker 2's musical madness was unfathomable for fans to accept, especially considering how different their cinematic themes were in the first place.

According to some, Madame Web was at least memorable in the sense that Dakota Johnson and Sydney Sweeney's official entry in the Spider-Verse could eventually get them a larger role in the multiverse.

Joker 2, on the other hand, appears to be an unsalvageable damage to fans, as most of their impression involved the ending: the sequel failed to do justice in Arthur's message in the first film.

For now, it would seem that Joker: Folie à Deux's last hope in this tango is to reclaim their glory in the following weeks if it eventually does gain traction as Warner Bros. set to do.
