Is Chris Hughes Really JoJo Siwa's Boyfriend?
Romantic pictures of the Dance Moms alum JoJo Siwa and Love Island UK's Chris Hughes have been circulating online ever since they declared nothing is going on between them, apart from friendship.
From sharing a kiss during a Mexican getaway to getting rose bouquets at the airport, it seemed perfectly clear where their relationship was heading.
That, however, crumbled to dust when JoJo made a recent appearance on British TV's Lorraine on Monday. On the show, guest host Ali Peters wanted to confirm whether Chris is already her boyfriend amid speculations.
But all it did was prompt JoJo to burst out laughing, all the while finding the rumors hilarious, "No. It's funny to me how straight up people get these days."
When asked if they were an exclusive item at least, JoJo said vaguely, "Christopher and I have had a lot of chats."
She added, in reference to Chris's time on Love Island UK, "But we have never gone into the kitchen and said, 'My head's not turning in any way, we've never had that version of a chat."
When Peters expressed his disappointment on why Hughes has yet to make his move and confess his feelings, JoJo came to defend him, "Chris is doing the furthest thing from letting us down. He couldn't let me down if he tried; he couldn't let anybody down. He's the best man."
What Have Chris Hughes and JoJo Siwa Said About Their Relationship So Far?
JoJo and Chris met each other during their time on the Celebrity Big Brother UK, where the latter defended JoJo's sexuality on the show after facing slurs from their housemate, Mickey Rourke.
Since then, the two developed a close friendship on the show, leading up to JoJo, who initially identified as a lesbian, and later on changed it to being queer.
Shortly after, she quickly dumped her then-partner, Kath Ebbs, at the CBB wrap party. Kath claimed they didn't break up because of rumors about JoJo potentially cheating on them.
Following the breakup, JoJo and Chris have been seen cozying up with one another multiple times on their Instagram posts, including on JoJo's hard launch on her 22nd birthday, and a resurfaced video of the two sharing a kiss on a vacation trip in Mexico.
This isn't the first time JoJo denied any romance forming between them. Previously, she called Chris her "favorite person to talk about" all the while claiming that he did not give her a forehead kiss in one of their PDA photos.
Recently, an insider told The Sun juicy details that fans couldn't deny that the pair have feelings for one another, "Chris didn't want to wait, he wanted to be there for her birthday," and emphasized how "important" it was to him that they "spend it together."
