- Primary Subject: J.K. Simmons
- Key Update: J.K. Simmons revealed that he has never met Tom Holland in person.
- Status: Confirmed

- Quick Answer: J.K. Simmons has never met Tom Holland because his cameo scenes as J. Jonah Jameson were filmed separately, without ever sharing a set with Holland.
J.K. Simmons recently admitted that he has never met Tom Holland despite starring together in two of his Spider-Man movies.
The veteran Oscar-winning actor notably reprised the role of J. Jonah Jameson (or at least the MCU version) in the post-credits scene of Spider-Man: Far from Home before returning in a supporting turn in No Way Home. Fans were happy to see him play the iconic character again, even if it's not the same iteration as the Sam Raimi trilogy.
However, to this day, he still has not met the current Spider-Man.
Did J.K. Simmons Already Meet with Tom Holland After Starring in Two Movies?

In a recent interview on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, J.K. Simmons was asked whether he had already met Tom Holland after being part of two of his Spider-Man movies.
Unfortunately, he admitted that he has not encountered the Spider-Man actor yet to this day.
"I have not met Tom Holland. Delightful guy, I’m told," the Oscar winner said.
While it might be jarring for fans to hear that Simmons and Holland have not met yet, the actor explained that it's all because he filmed his scenes as J. Jonah Jameson separately and does not share any scene with the actor (as we've also seen in the two movies).
Particularly, when he reprised the role in Far from Home, it was a last-minute addition to the film, and he shot his cameo in an office.
"That was a complete shock, and a very last-minute decision, which I still think is why JJJ doesn’t have hair in the Tom Holland Spider-Man Universe," Simmons recalled.
"They called my agent, we had a meeting the next day, and then it was like a day or two later that I was shooting in some executive’s office on the lot, because there was no set. They were well into editing the film when they went, ‘What if we stuck in a little JJJ in here?’"
If you're wondering whether Simmons will return on Brand New Day, don't count on it, since he has confirmed that he won't be making an appearance in the upcoming film.
What to Expect in Spider-Man: Brand New Day
Spider-Man: Brand New Day will mark an entirely new chapter for Peter Parker and Spider-Man. Four years have passed since the events of No Way Home, and Peter is now an adult living entirely alone, having voluntarily erased himself from the lives and memories of those he loves.
Crime-fighting in a New York that no longer knows his name, he's devoted himself entirely to protecting his city, a full-time Spider-Man, but as the demands on him intensify, the pressure sparks a surprising physical evolution that threatens his existence, even as a strange new pattern of crimes gives rise to one of the most powerful threats he has ever faced.
The cast includes Tom Holland, Zendaya, Sadie Sink, Jacob Batalon, Jon Bernthal, Tramell Tillman, Michael Mando, Mark Ruffalo, and Liza Colon-Zayas.
The film is set to release in theaters on July 31. It will also be available on IMAX in select international markets.
