Jeon Somi hit a new milestone a year after releasing the XOXO music video.

Through YG Plus and Interscope Records, Jeon Somi and The Black Label dropped her highly-anticipated debut studio album, XOXO. It contains eight tracks, including Dumb Dumb, XOXO, Don't Let Me Go, Anymore, Watermelon, Birthday, What You Waiting For, and Outta My Head.

Overall, the album peaked at No. 6 on Gaon and No. 14 on Billboard.

Over a year after its release, the album's XOXO track brought new recognition to Jeon Somi.

Jeon Somi's XOXO Surpasses 100 Million Views on YouTube

As of Dec. 28 at 11:30 p.m. KST, XOXO's music video reached 100 million views. Her official Twitter account shared a poster to mark the milestone, giving fans the idol's sincerest gratitude for supporting her music.

With the new recognition, XOXO became Jeon Somi's third music video to surpass 100 million views after Dumb Dumb and Birthday. It took the song one year, one month, 28 days, and 17 hours to score the milestone.

So far, the album has received nominations and won awards since its release. It brought home the Top 20 Albums of the Year (Overseas) award from the Asian Pop Music Awards. It also got nominated for three more categories: Best Music Video (Overseas), Record of the Year (Overseas), and Best Album of the Year (Overseas).

Jeon Somi's Career

Jeon Somi started her career in the entertainment industry by having special appearances and cameos in several shows. She was part of Let's Go! Dream Team Season 2 Children's Day Special in 2013 and appeared in Hello Counselor the next year with her grandmother and mother.

The same year, she was cast to play a cameo role with her sister in Ode to My Father. From there, she tried her luck and auditioned for JYP Entertainment. After training for over a year, she participated in the Mnet survival show Sixteen in an attempt to debut with the agency's first girl group in five years after Miss A.

However, she did not make it to the lineup, and the trainees went on to debut as TWICE. Still, she eventually dominated Produce 101 and finished in first place, allowing her to finally promote to the project female group, I.O.I.
