It was recently announced that Daniels has been tapped for a major guest role in Shrinking season 3.

He will be playing the role of Jimmy Laird (Jason Segel)'s father. It is unknown yet how the character will play into the story of the season or how many episodes he will appear in.

This will mark Daniels' return to comedy as he has been more focused on dramatic roles in the past several years. His last comedic performance was in the 2014 sequel Dumb and Dumber To.

While the details regarding the character's role in the season are still under wraps, it is still exciting news for fans of the series as it indicates that Jimmy's parents will be explored and they will give us an idea about what the relationship with his father looks like.

It also opens an opportunity for Daniels and fellow acting legend Harrison Ford to share scenes together for the first time.

What to Expect in Shrinking Season 3

The plot details regarding Shrinking season 3 are still being kept under wraps at the moment.

Segel, Ford, Christa Miller, Jessica Williams, Luke Tennie, Michael Urie, Lukita Maxwell, and Ted McGinley are all expected to return as the main cast.

A few weeks ago, Ford revealed that the series was impacted by the Los Angeles wildfires and they committed to film in the areas that were affected.

"We lost several of our sets, but to us they were sets. To other people it was their homes, they were their livings, their lives and it's a terrible tragedy," he said.

"But we're going back there to shoot and hopefully to bring some economic opportunities back to that area. But we've all got to concentrate on bringing our brothers and sisters through this."
