Why is Jamie Lee Curtis Calling Out a Negative Review on Freakier Friday?
The official Instagram account of TIME shared a review of Freakier Friday from veteran critic Stephanie Zacharek, which described the film as "humiliating to everyone involved."
"No one, as far as we know, actually asked Disney for a sequel to 2003’s buoyant, surprisingly unsyrupy generation-gap comedy Freaky Friday," Zacharek wrote in her review.

As a result, Curtis responded to the post by commenting, "SEEMS a TAD HARSH. SOME people LOVE it. Me being one."
The actress's comment has received polarizing reactions from fans. Some of them supported the Oscar winner's calling out of the negative review, while some expressed dismay and noted that she would not have interjected on the reviews of the movie since it is unprofessional.
Curtis didn't share any explanation regarding why she decided to call out the negative review of the movie, even if it's the minority, since the reactions have been mostly positive across critics, influencers, and audiences who watched it in theaters.
