Could Johnny Depp make his grand return as Captain Jack Sparrow in a sixth Pirates of the Caribbean film? Franchise producer Jerry Bruckheimer believes expanding its world of adventure could only ever be left in Depp's hands, considering his face leads the brand overall.
According to Bruckheimer, we might be getting another installment of Jack Sparrow!
What Has the Pirates of the Caribbean Producer Said About a Potential Sixth Film?

Johnny Depp led the Pirates of the Caribbean movies from 2003 to 2017, all of which grossed over $650 million at the worldwide box office. Following his legal troubles with Disney and his 2022 libel trial against Amber Heard, is it still possible for the Oscar winner to change his mind?
In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, producer Jerry Bruckheimer revealed he has had conversations with Depp about coming back for his role as Captain Jack Sparrow in a sixth film, despite Disney cutting ties with the actor after his domestic abuse case against Amber Heard.
Now, the producer can confidently say, "If he likes the way the part's written, I think he would do it. It's all about what's on the page, as we all know."
However, fans have to hold their horses on this one as the film's still under production, thus no official release date yet to expect from the upcoming installment.
"We are still working on a screenplay. We want to make it. We just got to get the right screenplay," the producer said, "We haven't quite gotten there yet, but we're close."

Disney cut ties with Depp in 2018, and since then, the Oscar winner lost tons of projects, including the one for Fantastic Beasts, all of which were rooted after the Amber Heard libel case. Depp expressed grief over the loss and firmly told the court he would never work with Disney again, not even if he was offered "$300 million and a million alpacas."
However, since the producer seems quite insistent that it's Johnny who deserves to continue the role, it is possible that Depp could listen to reason, and who wouldn't, after the producer's words?
"It's a reboot, but if it was up to me, [Johnny] would be in it," Bruckheimer defended, "I love him. He's a good friend. He's an amazing artist, and he's a unique look. He created Captain Jack. That was not on the page; that was him doing a little Pepé Le Pew and Keith Richards. That was his interpretation of Jack Sparrow."
