Wagner Moura has set the record straight on the rumors that he is playing Mister Sinister in the MCU reboot of X-Men.
Fans have been looking forward to the casting news on the highly anticipated MCU version of X-Men. So far, a couple of roles have been cast, and the rumors are continuing for the other mutant characters and the main antagonist.
Now, the rumored actor for the villain role is addressing the speculations about his casting.
Is Wagner Moura Playing Mister Sinister in X-Men?

In a recent interview with Screen Rant, Wagner Moura was asked about the rumors surrounding his casting as Mister Sinister in the X-Men reboot that is currently in the works.
The Oscar nominee denied that he will be playing the fan-favorite villain in the film, but he expressed interest in playing the role since he has been a fan of the comics since he was young.
"Dude, I've been reading these things on the internet, and people are sending that to me. I mean, I'm a fan of that whole entire universe, especially when I was a kid reading all those graphic novels and everything. But there's nothing," he said.
"No one contacted me about it. It's just something that people read. But on the internet, I don't know nothing honestly about it. I would love it."
For now, it looks like we cannot count on the Narcos star to be the main antagonist of the highly-anticipated film, given that he has denied involvement and shared that Marvel Studios have not contacted him to offer a role.
There is also a possibility that the film's main villain will be a different character, and they will introduce Mister Sinister in a future movie instead once they have done more world-building for the mutant characters in the MCU.
What to Expect in the X-Men MCU Reboot

So far, plot details for the X-Men MCU reboot are still under wraps, and it is expected to take place sometime after Avengers: Secret Wars.
Thunderbolts* director Jake Schreier is currently attached to helm the project. Beef creator Lee Sung Jin and The Bear co-showrunner Joanna Calo are writing the screenplay.
So far, Sadie Sink (as Jean Grey), Samara Weaving (as Emma Frost) and Kit Connor (as Cyclops) have been cast in the film.
Last year, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige gave a tease on what fans should expect from their reboot of the X-Men property.
"We had a great experience with him on Thunderbolts*. And if you saw that movie, what he did with those character interactions, he also has his pulse on, shall we say, a younger demographic," he said.
"He’s younger than me for sure, but he’s tapped into that in a way that I think was important for Thunderbolts*, much more important for X-Men. Because X-Men, as it was in the comics, will be a very youth-oriented, focused, and cast movie."
