The Power was released on Amazon Prime Video on Friday, March 31, 2023. Unfortunately, these episodes will be released on a weekly basis instead of Netflix's usual practice of releasing the episodes all at once.

There's no word yet on whether The Power will be available to stream on Netflix eventually so don't keep your hopes up. It will likely remain exclusively as Amazon Prime Video content so there's no timeline for its release on Netflix.

The Power is a sci-fi drama series that was based on a best-selling novel written by Naomi Alderman. Both the show and the book follow the story of young girls who suddenly gained the ability to control electricity and electrocute other people at their own will.

This allows women to use the ability to pursue their dreams and advocate for their rights without worrying about what men will do to them.

The official synopsis of the show reads:

"The Power is our world, but for one twist of nature. Suddenly, and without warning, teenage girls develop the power to electrocute people at will.
