The Lyrical Queen, Taylor Swift, is being accused by fans of using AI in her latest album, The Life of a Showgirl. Specifically, in generating her videos to promote her new album and some questionable lyrics were put into the collection.
While the Grammy-winning singer has never addressed these sorts of allegations before, here's what convinced fans she utilized generative AI.

The Tortured Poets Department hitmaker is facing backlash on social media for allegedly using AI-generated videos for The Life of a Showgirl. The videos were supposedly a viral promotion, where QR codes helped fans locate 12 "orange doors" across 12 cities, echoing Taylor's 12th album release.
Eagle-eyed fans noticed that the visualizers and their Easter eggs contained inconsistencies, which more often than not confirm it's AI-generated. Across the videos were obscure visions of dumbbells, inconsistent window shadows, and other glitches, gathering fans' disappointment over Taylor's alleged utilization of AI.

Some fans trended #SwiftiesAgainstAI alongside another tag, #WeLoveYouTaylor, in both defense and taking offense over this development, despite the artist not yet addressing the issue at hand.
How Did Swifties React to Taylor's AI Allegations?
This is not just about the environmental and societal impact of generative AI, but fans' disappointment is understandable, considering that Taylor's stature (and wealth) could have afforded a graphic designer to make those videos, and in promoting against further usage of AI.
"We expected a decent album promo, but we noticed that the promotion in cities was made by AI," one fan pointed out, "AI has a large impact on the environment and wildlife because of its LARGE water consumption and more. Please learn better next time."
