The highly anticipated Netflix show, You, has returned for its fourth season. But unlike previous seasons, Netflix decided to separate the season into two parts. The first part, released on Feb. 9, 2023, contains five episodes. The last five episodes of You Season 4 Part 2 will be released on March 9, 2023.

Why Does You Season 4 Contain Fewer Sex Scenes?
Penn Badgley was recently on a Podcrushed podcast episode. The actor talked about You Season 4 Part 1 and explained why fans won't get to see as many sex scenes this time around.
The actor also opened up that he is at a crossroad in his career since he doesn't want to be "just always a romantic lead," but he worried if this decision would affect his career.
The actor pointed out that he requested for fewer sex scenes out of respect for his wife, Domino Kirke. Although he would have wanted the bedroom scenes "to go from 100 to zero," it simply isn't realistic.
Thankfully, showrunner Sera Gamble respected Badgley's request and even appreciated his directness. This is why You Season 4 contains less intimate scenes as the previous seasons do.
Wait, Penn Badgley Has a Wife?
