  • Quick Answer: Despite its massive success, Paradise will officially end with Season 3. Showrunners confirmed the story was designed as a three-season arc with a definitive finale.

While the second season just recently premiered, fans are already wondering about the future of the hit Hulu drama series Paradise and whether it might potentially end in the third season.

There were previous reports that creator Dan Fogelman has a three-season plan for the series. However, with the successful reception from critics, audiences, and awards voters (including an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Drama Series), there are questions about whether it will still end with the third season or they will extend it beyond the plan.

In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, writer and executive producer John Hoberg was asked whether Paradise will still follow the three-season plan and officially end the hit series next season.

Unfortunately for fans, the hit Hulu drama will still end with the third season, and they already plotted how they are going to conclude the story.

"We know what the end is, and it’s an end that would make it very difficult to make a season four come afterward," he said.

Hoberg also teased that the current second season will build on the plans that they have for the third season.

"It is setting up that there’s a lot of things going on in two different places. And if I were a viewer, I would wonder if those two different things might come together at some point," he said.

While Hulu has not officially renewed the series for a third season, the writers are already breaking the story.

"In season three, which we’re already breaking — we’re breaking episode seven right now, and we know where it ends [with eight]; we know what episode eight is. Everybody gets their due. I will say that. But there’s only so much real estate, and the story really dictates," he teased.

"I personally want to know more about Robinson’s [Krys Marshall] backstory, and we’ll get that, along with other characters. Everyone will have a moment, but it’s when they come to significance in the grander story when we made those decisions."
