Anime fans have been speculating that the popular mangas Kagurabachi and Akane-banashi are getting their own anime adaptations soon thanks to a teaser video.

After all, both titles have become best-sellers and garnered a loyal fanbase in the past few years since they started publishing and it is inevitable for them to receive the anime adaptation treatment.

Are Anime Adaptations of Kagurabachi and Akane-banashi in the Works?

So far, neither the creators of Kagurabachi nor Akane-banashi have officially announced that anime adaptations of both titles are currently in the works.

However, the official social media account of Netflix Japan seemingly teased in a recent post that they might be working on bringing them to the screen.

In the video, they showed the different Shonen Jump titles that are available to stream on Netflix such as One Piece, Sakamoto Days, and many more.

Interestingly, Kagurabachi and Akane-banashi were also part of the reel which made fans speculate that Netflix might already be working on their respective anime adaptations.

So far, Netflix has not officially confirmed that such projects are indeed in the works, but the signs are pointing toward the positive side. Hopefully, we will get official news soon.

Fans should look out for official news and updates soon regarding the potential anime adaptations of Kagurabachi and Akane-banashi.

What Are Kagurabachi and Akane-banashi About?

In case you're not familiar, Kagurabachi focuses on Chihiro Rokuhira, the son of Kunishige Rokuhira, a renowned blacksmith who forged six enchanted blades that were instrumental in ending the Seitei War.

After years of hiding, the Rokuhiras were attacked by a group of sorcerers called the Hishaku. They murdered Kunishige and stole the enchanted blades. Chihiro embarked on a quest of vengeance against the Hishaku and reclaimed the blades.

Meanwhile, Akane-banashi centers on Akane, who has a love of rakugo, the ultimate form of storytelling where everything in a story is expressed with just your body and words.

Akane and her father bond over rakugo. After her father was expelled from the Arakawa School, Akane took on a quest to master the skill and prove that she had what it takes to reach the highest rank.
