Pirates of the Caribbean producer Jerry Bruckheimer recently opened up about whether Margot Robbie is still involved in the franchise to this day.
For the past few years, there have been attempts to revive the beloved Disney franchise, whether it's the idea of bringing back Johnny Depp as Jack Sparrow following his personal and legal controversies or a new reboot with Margot Robbie leading the project. So far, there are still no official plans on what's next for the franchise and which idea will move forward.
Is Margot Robbie Still Involved in the Pirates of the Caribbean Franchise?

Speaking recently with TheWrap, Bruckheimer was asked about the latest updates on the development of the next Pirates of the Caribbean that they've been trying to make.
He shared that a script is still being worked on, and they're now only working on one idea after they dropped the other idea that they were considering.
"We’re working on a script. It’s always on the page; if we don’t have it on the page, it’s not gonna get on the screen. We had two scripts at one point, and then one kinda dropped out, and then we kinda went on with the other one," the producer said.
When asked whether Robbie is still involved in the franchise, Bruckheimer confirmed that she is still attached to this day.
"Well, she’s still involved," he said.
However, Bruckheimer still did not provide any timeline on when they can finally start rolling the cameras for the next installment and whether the return of Depp's Jack Sparrow is still in play.
Is the Next Pirates of the Caribbean Movie a Reboot or Sequel?
So far, there are conflicting reports on whether the next Pirates of the Caribbean will be a reboot of the franchise that will start from scratch or a sequel that will follow the events of the previous films.
While Bruckheimer has mentioned that the next installment will be a "reboot," he did not rule out the possibility of Depp's return when he was asked last August.
"If he likes the way the part's written, I think he would do it. It's all about what's on the page, as we all know," he said.
Orlando Bloom has also expressed interest in returning to the franchise and reuniting with his co-stars from the previous films.
"Well, I don't know, I can't say anything at the moment because I really don't know, but there's definitely availability," he said.
"I think they're trying to work out what it would all look like, I personally think it'd be great to get the band back together. That would be great, but there are always different ideas, and so we'll see where it lands."
