There have been rumors that Tomohito Oda's hit manga Komi Can't Communicate is ending its run soon after 30+ best-selling volumes and a successful anime adaptation.
Oda's romantic-comedy manga first hit the shelves in 2016 and, since then, it has consistently become one of the best-selling manga titles in the past several years.
Is Komi Can't Communicate Manga Ending?
According to a report from @@MangaMoguraRE on X, Komi Can't Communicate is set to end its run sooner than we expected.
They claimed that the hit manga would be ending after three chapters. If it ends up happening, it will have 496 chapters overall.
So far, publisher Shogakukan has not officially released a statement announcing the end of the manga after the three upcoming chapters, but fans have already expressed their sadness about seeing it end soon.
However, considering that it was announced last year that the manga has entered its final arc, it's also not surprising to see Komi Can't Communicate potentially conclude soon and it would be interesting how they'll wrap the story if it is indeed their end of the road.
In the manga's storyline so far, Komi is also close to getting the 100 friends that she wants to achieve so it also makes sense to hear that it will be ending its run and not overstay beyond its premise.
What is the Future of Komi Can't Communicate Anime?
So far, only two seasons of the Komi Can't Communicate anime adaptation have been produced.
There are no official plans yet regarding the third season, but this could pave the way for them to finally continue the series and produce a new season that will follow the manga's trajectory.
A lot of fans would love to see the anime continue again soon, especially now that the manga is set to end its run so that they can get more Komi Can't Communicate content again.
For now, fans should look out for news and updates regarding the anime's future, but this could be an indication that we will hear something soon.
