There have been rumors recently that Jordan Peele is in talks with Marvel Studios to work on an MCU project. But is there any truth behind it?
Let's explore everything we know so far about the Oscar-winning filmmaker's potential involvement in the MCU.
Is Jordan Peele Working on an MCU Project?
For the past several days, rumors have circulated on social media that Marvel Studios has been in conversations with Jordan Peele to potentially direct an MCU movie.
While Marvel has not provided any confirmation on whether it is true, fans can't help but get excited about the possibility of the Oscar winner's involvement in the franchise and perhaps explore the horror corner of the MCU through his vision.
Last Monday, Peele's Monkeypaw Productions reacted to the rumor on X by reposting it with a caption of the "👀" eyes emoji.
This led to more speculations from fans that the rumor might be true, and some of them have suggested that Peele could direct the Blade movie, which has been stuck in development for the last few years.
The following day, Monkeypaw Productions poked fun at the rumor in another post and seemingly shot down the possibility that Peele will be directing a Blade movie.
"When the internet thinks you're making a Blade reboot because you said 👀," they wrote in the caption, alongside a photo of Peele as a vampire in a Key & Peele sketch.
It is unclear yet what Monkeypaw Productions really meant on their recent social media posts about the rumor, but fans will continue to speculate on what the Peele-Marvel collaboration might look like, and it would be interesting to see if we get confirmation anytime soon.
One thing for sure right now is that Peele won't likely get his hands on the long-gestating Blade movie project, despite the pleas from fans.
