The iconic animated series King of the Hill was revived this year with a new season on Hulu, and fans have been wondering whether they should expect more seasons in the future.

Almost 20 years after the original run ended, King of the Hill returned with a revival series that takes place years after the events of the first version. The majority of the cast and crew were brought back for more adventures with the Hill family and the folks at Arlen, Texas. Fans lauded the revival for being a worthy return that retains the original's charm while exploring the modern day.

Fortunately, Hulu has officially renewed the King of the Hill revival series for two more seasons, extending its run until the 17th season.

The streamer ordered 20 more episodes in total, meaning each season will have 10 episodes. When the revival was given a series order back in 2023, Hulu also greenlighted two seasons with 10 episodes each, with season 14 premiering last summer, while season 15 will be released next year.

The renewal did not come as a surprise since season 14 premiered to positive reviews from fans and critics. It debuted at the number two spot on the Nielsen Top 10 streaming chart and garnered a Rotten Tomatoes score of 98%.

According to Disney, King of the Hill has crossed 1 billion hours streamed globally across Hulu and Disney+. However, it is unclear whether it applies to the entire series or the revival's first season only.

Nevertheless, this is exciting news for fans since King of the Hill is now expected to remain on air until 2028, if they follow the annual release for each season. Depending on the viewership in the next few years, the series may run beyond the 17th season.
