One of the questions that Harry Potter fans have is whether the second season of the HBO TV series remake is already in the works, amidst the production of the first season.
While the TV version of the J.K. Rowling novel series is being planned to run for seven seasons and cover each book, there were still concerns about whether it will be able to move forward wth a second season before the first season airs.
Is Harry Potter TV Series Season 2 Already in the Works?

Speaking to reporters recently (via Deadline), HBO chairman and CEO Casey Bloys confirmed that the second season of Harry Potter is already in the works, amidst the filming of the first season.
The writers are currently working on the next season, which will cover Chamber of Secrets, and there are plans to begin production soon after the first season wraps.
"The plan is to still try and get it — I don’t know if it’s going to be like stop shooting Season 1 on Friday and start Season 2 on Monday. There’ll be a break in there, but we’re going to do whatever we can to not have a huge gap," Bloys said in a press conference.
"For the kids, obviously, but also for viewers. You know, trying not to have massive gaps. It is a big show, lots of special effects, obviously, a massive operation, but we’re going to do what we can."
Recently, it was reported that Rowling finally visited the set of the series, where she inspected the filming progress and met with the cast and crew. She is involved as one of the executive producers.
