Donald Trump recently called climate activist Greta Thunberg "strange" and suggested she take an "anger management class." His comments come after Thunberg's involvement with a Gaza-bound aid flotilla that was intercepted by Israeli forces.

Why is Donald Trump Advising Greta Thunberg for 'Anger Management Class'?

"She's a young, angry person," Trump said in recent news involving the Swedish activist alerting the media of what the Israeli army did to the Gaza fleet, "I don't know if it's real anger, it's hard to believe, actually."

Trump added that he "saw what happened" and described Greta being "certainly different", all the while recommending that she address her emotions in health class.

"I think she has to go to anger management class. That's my primary recommendation for her," he then proceeded to make a joke out of Greta's current circumstance. "She said she was kidnapped by Israel? I think Israel has enough problems without kidnapping Greta Thunberg."

This is not the first time Trump has made fun of Greta. In fact, back in 2019, as the environmentalist was rising due to her bravery for her climate change advocacies at such a young age, the President made fun of her after hearing her speech at the United Nations General Assembly.

"People are suffering, people are dying, entire ecosystems are collapsing," Greta told the UN audience at the time, "We are in the beginning of a mass extinction and all you can talk about is money and fairytales of eternal economic growth."

Trump then sarcastically tweeted in relation to her speech, "She seems like a very happy young girl looking forward to a bright and wonderful future. So nice to see!"

Did Greta Thunberg's Fleet Really Get 'Kidnapped' by Israel?

Greta Thunberg turned 22 in January and gained her first international prominence in 2018.

She was only 15 years old when she began her solitary climate strike outside the Swedish parliament and has continued to do so while using her Asperger's syndrome to "fuel" her activism.

The Swedish activist and 11 other people were aboard the Madleen, operated by the Freedom Flotilla Coalition, which departed Sicily on June 1 to carry humanitarian supplies to aid Palestinians in Gaza.

This delivery attempt included essential items such as baby formula, flour, rice, nappies, sanitary products, water desalination equipment, medical supplies, crutches, and prosthetic legs for children.

The activists planned to reach Gaza's waters within a week of departure, however, Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz pledged they would prevent the ship from reaching its destination.

"My name is Greta Thunberg, and I am from Sweden. If you see this video, we are being intercepted and kidnapped in international waters by the Israeli occupational forces, or forces that support Israel," Greta stated in a pre-recorded video prior to the interception.

She urged, "All my friends, family, and comrades to put pressure on the Swedish government to release me and the others as soon as possible."

Speaking from the ship before it was intercepted, Thunberg also voiced out to the Middle East Eye how governments had "disappointed the Palestinian people" and left it to civilians to act on their own.

"We cannot sit by and allow this to happen," Greta continued, "We are watching... a genocide happening, following decades and decades of systematic oppression, ethnic cleansing, occupation."
