There have been speculations recently that Cristiano Ronaldo will be joining the cast of Fast X: Part 2. Will we see him as part of the family?
The development is currently ongoing for the next installment in the Fast and Furious saga, following the release of Fast X in 2023. Fans have been wondering what Vin Diesel and his team have in store, and which other stars they might recruit to join the already-giant-sized family and become part of the action-packed adventure.
Is Cristiano Ronaldo Joining Fast X: Part 2?
In his recent post on Instagram, Vin Diesel shared a photo of himself and Cristiano Ronaldo together. Interestingly, in his caption, he teased that he wrote a role for the football superstar in Fast X: Part 2.
"Everyone asked, would he be in the Fast mythology... I gotta tell you, he is a real one. We wrote a role for him..." he said.
Diesel did not reveal what kind of role he is offering Ronaldo. There is also no confirmation on whether he has read the script or expressed interest in joining the project.
If Ronaldo ends up signing on to the project, he would be the first new cast member to join the next Fast and Furious saga. Not only that, it would be his first acting role in a movie after decades of football stardom.
Ronaldo has not officially commented on Diesel's recent claims about his potential involvement in Fast X: Part 2.
For now, fans should wait for news and updates regarding whether Ronaldo will be part of the Fast and Furious saga in the coming months, as Diesel and his team are preparing for its filming.
What to Expect in Fast X: Part 2
So far, the plot details regarding Fast X: Part 2 are still under wraps, but it will likely continue on from the cliffhanger ending of the previous installment. There have been reports that it will go back to its original roots by having the story take place in Los Angeles and focus on street racing.
The majority of the cast members in the previous Fast and Furious films are expected to reprise their roles in the upcoming installment, including Jason Momoa. Diesel has also revealed that Paul Walker's character, Brian O'Conner, will return. However, it is unknown how he will be brought back.
The film is currently slated for release in theaters in April 2027. Production will take place next year, with the budget issues already resolved.
