Kishimoto had concerns about the Boruto manga. He believes that the characters introduced in the manga will be similar to his previous ones in some way.

He does, however, have faith in Ikemoto and the rest of the Boruto team to do their best to cast a different light on the sequel.

Boruto differs from Naruto in execution and the incorporation of new elements.

While Naruto relies on traditional shinobi techniques, Boruto is more concerned with integrating technological elements into the anime.
