Fortunately, Apple TV+ announced just recently that Shrinking has been renewed for season 3.

The exciting news was made official during the show's special panel at New York Comic Con where the cast and crew are present to discuss the second season.

"I’m so lucky to work on Shrinking with actors, writers and a crew so talented that they all elevate the material," Lawrence said in the statement.

"I’m even luckier that they are people I’d want to spend time with anyway. Huge thanks to Apple TV+ and Warner Bros. for the amazing partnership and support. So grateful we get to keep making this show. Onward!"

Matt Cherniss, head of programming for Apple TV+, said, "It has been wonderful to watch audiences around the world fall in love with the memorable characters and rich world that Bill, Brett [Goldstein] and Jason have created in Shrinking."

"We are incredibly excited for viewers to see where life takes Jimmy, Paul, Liz, Gabby, Alice, Sean, Brian and Derek next as they continue on their moving, heartwarming and very funny journey in season three."

What to Expect in Shrinking Season 3?

So far, the plot details regarding the third season are being kept under wraps. Fans need to wait until the end of season 2 to find out what could potentially happen in the next season.

In a recent interview, co-creator and season 2 guest star Brett Goldstein revealed that they've been writing season 3 for the past few months.

"We've been writing it for the last three months, so the fact that the announcement came, it was like, ‘Well, thank f*ck we haven’t been wasting all that time,’" he said.

When asked when they are planning to begin filming, Goldstein said, "I believe we will start filming sometime in January [2025]."

For now, fans should wait for more updates on season 3 in the coming months as well as watch the current season weekly to see where the series is heading at.
